Bridger Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated individual who can work well under pressure to meet quick deadlines with little outside guidance and supervision. In this role, you will be responsible for maintenance, repair and overhaul for our fleet of aircraft. Part 145 mechanics are responsible for repair on CL-215Ts, and Air Attack mechanics are responsible for Twin Commanders, 690 & 500s, DAHER Kodiak 100s, and Pilatus PC-12s. This position is based at Bridger Aerospace HQ in Belgrade, MT with the ability to travel 50- 75% of the time.
Reports to: Aircraft Crew Chief or Manager of Maintenance
What You'll Do:
- Ability to analyze all required drawings, sketches, blueprints, and work orders in order to troubleshoot, repair, install and schedule routine and/or required maintenance and/or mechanical repairs as needed;
- Ability to detect errors and/or issues and the ability to act quickly, effectively prioritize and correct using proper departmental channels while communicating effectively;
- Accurately estimates hours and materials for scheduled jobs, orders required parts;
- Running diagnostics for repairs and maintenance;
- Creates workable solutions in a timely manner;
- Supports, maintains, follows, and upholds the company’s policies and personnel procedures;
- Follows guidelines, regulations and laws as outlined by regulatory agencies as it relates to aircrafts, drones and other contracts under Bridger Aerospace or it’s related companies;
- Prepares and maintains records and required reports
- Maintains professional continuing education (CE) training, if required for certification(s);
- Works independently and within a team as required by the specifics of each project
- Perform engine runs and Aircraft Taxi Test
- Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards and that aircraft are ready for operation
- Maintain, repair and overhaul aircraft as maintained by the AMO as per AMM and pertinent reference docs/policy manuals
- Assist Crew Chief in planning upcoming maintenance and parts required
- Maintain and repair aircraft in accordance with Repair Station Manual, OEM Approved Data, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- Maintain aircraft work order and perform return to service logbook entries
- Maintain work area and tool control in Accordance with Company Standards and Procedures
- Maintain your company training requirements and follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used in the field for maintenance
- Assume the role of crew chief in his absence
- On the job training to fellow technicians may be required
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Driver’s License and Passport, and have ability to obtain CDL (REQUIRED)
- Ability to Pass a DOT drug screening
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. FAR’s
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under no supervision and under high pressure
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Tools REQUIRED
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
