We are seeking a Quality Systems professional who is organized, has superior attention to detail, is self-motivated, and an effective problem solver to work in a fast-paced environment.

In the role of Quality Systems Specialist (QSS) the successful candidate will be primarily focused upon Advanced Quality System support and compliance to AS9110C. The QSS will perform quality problem solving and non-conformance prevention within the 14CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station (CRS). In this role they will be responsible for collaborating with all CRS Process Owners. Additionally, the QSS will provide Quality Engineering support of the overall Quality Management System, as well as aid in the development and performance of process design, continuous improvement methods and techniques, CAPA & root cause analysis, development of quality plans, quality control / assurance inspections, and First Article Inspections in accordance with ISO 9102.

Reports to: Manager of Quality Engineering

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support and compliance maintenance of Advanced Quality System AS9110C.
  • Development and implementation of Advanced Quality System AS9100.
  • Develop Quality Plans and perform quality oversight of aircraft maintenance and special project modification / alteration installations.
  • Assist in the execution of effective supplier surveillance and vendor rating management of OEMs, Repair / Overhaul Vendors, raw materials, and Aeronautical Part Distributors.
  • Perform CAPA procedures including Root Cause Analysis.
  • Perform external and internal audits as required.

    Job Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of experience in Aviation / Aerospace industry Quality Management Systems.
    • Strong aeronautical regulatory and quality standard compliance knowledge.
    • Understands and uses the seven basic tools of quality.
    • Adaptability to quickly learn and manage internal systems
    • Individual contributor level Microsoft Office products proficiency
    • Excellent phone, email, remote technologies, and face-to-face communication skills
    • Ability to support AOG operations, work outside normal business hours
    • Travel percentage: Up to 20% domestically and internationally
    • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
    • Ability to perform additional duties as assigned
